Phenocameras

A canopy camera or PhenoCam records phenological events such as forest canopy development and senescence. The Bull Shoals Field Station has one set up to take photos every half-hour from 0700 to 1900 every day. These photos are then uploaded to a phenocam network hosted by the University of New Hampshire (UNH).

Currently there are over 400 phenocams uploading photos to the UNH website. Just east of Springfield is a recent addition to the network, Homestead Springs.
